
The organisers of the annual Inspiring Woman Africa Conference have announced that former President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Madam Sahle-Work Zewde, will be the keynote speaker at the 14th edition of the event, scheduled for December 11, 2025, at the Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos.
According to a statement on Sunday, this year’s conference has the theme “Leadership Redefined: Charting New Paths to Excellence”.
Founder/Group CEO of IWA and convener of the conference, Kemi Ajumobi, said the event had grown into one of Africa’s foremost platforms celebrating women’s leadership and achievement.
She said, “It is always a great time to hear these great speakers share from their wealth of wisdom with guests. We are excited to announce that our keynote speaker for this year is H.E. Madam Sahle-Work Zewde, Former President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.”
Other distinguished guests expected at the conference include the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Ibrahim, who will serve as the Guest of Honour.
The conference will also feature thought leaders from various sectors, including the MD/CEO of WEMA Bank Plc, Moruf Oseni; Deputy High Commissioner, Embassy of Canada, Nigeria, Carlos Rojas-Arbulú; Co-Founder of Sahara Group, Tonye Patrick Cole; CEO of T2 (formerly 9Mobile), Obafemi Banigbe; and the acting MD/CEO of NOVA Bank, Chinwe Iloghalu.
Others are a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Aishah Ndanusa Ahmad; International Corporate Executive and Founder of The LightHouse Network, Dr Nkiru Olumide-Ojo; and Executive Head, General Entertainment Channels at MultiChoice Group, Dr Busola Tejumola.
