Annastacia Kimtai, KCB Bank Kenya’s Managing Director is a seasoned banking professional with a career spanning more than 25 years, including 12 years in senior leadership and strategic roles focused on business growth. She previously led Retail Banking, overseeing operations across more than 210 branches nationwide.

She serves on several boards and committees within the KCB Group, including:

KCB Foundation

KCB Bank Kenya’s Board Credit Committee

KCB Bank Kenya’s Board Strategy & Digital Committee

KCB Bank Kenya’s Board Audit Committee

In addition, she contributes as a Non-Executive Director at the Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company (KMRC).

Annastacia has been a vocal advocate for financial inclusion, focusing on products and services that reach customers at the base of the pyramid. She has hands-on experience in turning around distressed institutions, having worked on the recovery efforts for Chase Bank and Imperial Bank while they were in receivership.

She is also at the helm of Flme (Female Led and Made Enterprises), an initiative aimed at increasing the participation of businesswomen in banking.

Beyond her expertise, Annastacia is known for her strategic mindset and relentless drive to turn plans into tangible results. Her leadership style emphasizes people development, clear communication, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.

Annastacia holds a MBA Degree in Business Administration & Strategic Management, MA Degree in Rural Economics and Cooperation, a BA Degree in Community Development, Economics and Rural Banking. She is a Certified Executive Coach from the Academy of Executive Coaching (AOEC). She is a graduate of the Senior Executive Program for Africa (SEPA) from Harvard University and the Global Executive Development Program from Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) Business School.
