Victor Okoronkwo was appointed to deliver transformative leadership to lead the company’s growth agenda in Nigeria and beyond, repositioning the organisation as the leading indigenous oil-producing company in Nigeria, lifting production levels and reducing asset downtime.
Investing in stakeholder relations and disciplined commercial growth, he has implemented a new enterprise-wide strategic direction to ensure the effective management of multiple commercial partners, substantially increasing the total JV production outputs contribution to the nation’s crude production. Today, He continues to provide leadership to a team of over 500 direct and indirect workforce spanning technical, operations and commercial disciplines, engaging with over 100 host communities, multiple regulators and managing relations with joint venture partners and consortium of lenders as well as multiple service providers.
With more than two decades of experience as a senior executive in the international oil & gas industry, Victor’s mission is to translate tomorrow’s potential into today’s value.
Building a career in leadership from a technical foundation, he benefits from long standing hands-on experience across the oil & gas value chain (downstream and upstream) and power, and across all aspects of organisational leadership, including business development, commercial management, operations management, transformation, and advocacy.

He is an active protagonist in the energy transition and specifically, in establishing Nigeria as a major player in the global energy market.
