DOJA ALLEN Ups the Ante with Leading Female Radio Group

Women are constantly ensuring they are proving their mettle. Showing to the world that they are able to do whatever it is they set their mind to do.

DOJA ALLEN is one of such women. She is the MD/CEO of Cardinal Broadcasting Limited, operators of City 105.1 FM, which she took over at a challenging period for the station and has metamorphosed to the quality it represents today. She has just launched 93.5 Area fm, and the new station is rooted in the language, lifestyle and experiences of Lagos.

“This is a proud moment for me and a testament to the rewards for great vision, hardwork and consistency.” She told Inspiring Woman Africa.

Allen has said that the vision and approach is quite different from its sister station City 105.1fm and in fact, all other radio stations, especially those in the genre of pidgin-English. “Area fm is poised to be the voice of everyday Lagos, from the market woman to the upwardly mobile professional, from business men and women down to students and young artisans. From intentional programming that targets the demographic described above to actual activations in communities and sectors in all areas of Lagos state.” She stated.

To all women aiming for the top in their field or chosen niche, she says: Tenacity. Strength. Consistency are the three words that has always been a big part of her climb up the media ladder and even life in general.
